C-Town health expands upon our partnerships with Harvard Medical School and Bunker Hill Community College (BHCC) to provide a unique opportunity for students to explore topics and careers in Health. Through a combination of rigorous coursework, career exploration, and real world experiences, C-Town Health is designed to introduce students to the knowledge and skills required for employment within the diverse health care field. Whether you are interested in becoming a nurse, a doctor, a dental hygienist, x-ray technician, or EMT, the Pathway will begin to prepare you for the world of the healthcare industry. 

Health Pathway Outline

In their introductory course, students in the C-Town Health collaborate with Harvard Medical School to begin exploring a variety of health careers and get hands on experience in the medical field. In this team-based and problem-solving focused course, students travel to Harvard once a week to learn from professionals in the health field. THis course teaches students to navigate realistic medical emergencies with a simulated patient to bring science, the human body, and medicine to life!

Following this course, students are enrolled as dual-enrollment students and begin earning college credits through Bunker Hill Community College, taking two health focused courses at CHS. The college level health courses are designed to provide introductions to medical terms, how to communicate with others in the health field, and to begin learning the critical science information necessary to pursue related coursework at BHCC and careers in Allied Health Careers.

Enrollment Information

Interested in the healthcare field?  Are you interested in being a dental hygienist, a nurse, medical technician, doctor, or EMT?  Are you curious about human anatomy and physiology? We are currently looking for interested 9th grade students to join us in the Fall!

There is no separate application or enrollment process to apply for the C-Town Health Career Pathway. To enroll at Charlestown High School and C-Town Health, please rank and select Charlestown High School #1 on your school selection form.
