What is C-Town Tech

C-Town Tech expands upon our partnership with Bunker Hill Community College (BHCC) to provide a unique opportunity for students to explore topics and careers in Information Technology (IT). Through the combination of rigorous coursework, career exploration, and real world experiences, C-Town Tech is designed to prepare students for success in high school, college, and careers across many industries. Courses are designed to be project based, providing hands-on experiences where students learn critical IT skills that can lead to high-paying jobs and careers. Through enrollment in C-Town Tech, students will learn IT skills such as website design, mobile app development, problem solving, and programming! Interested in using technology to solve problems? This is the Pathway for you!

Tech Pathway Outline

Beginning in the 9th grade, students in the C-Town Tech explore topics and careers in Information Technology (IT). Students will learn how technology works by taking things apart, are introduced to website design, robotics, coding, and other important tech skills!

In the 10th grade, students are enrolled as dual-enrollment students and begin earning college credits through Bunker Hill Community College. Each IT course in the 10th grade provides an introduction to the world of IT, and prepares students for coursework at BHCC. In these classes students will create websites, program robotics, develop mobile apps, and learn important skills such as problem solving and how to use Microsoft! 

Enrollment Information

Interested in computers, technology, robots, and gaming?  Do you like working in teams to solve problems? Are you curious how computers and technology really work?  We are currently looking for interested 9th grade students to join us in the Fall!

There is no separate application or enrollment process to apply for the C-Town Information Technology Career Pathway. To enroll at Charlestown High School and C-Town Tech, please rank and select Charlestown High School #1 on your school selection form.
